Until recently the University of Victoria (UVIC) had been purchasing Elmo P30HD platform style document cameras, however recently Elmo updated their line card and designed several new products including two brand new platform models that are way ahead of the competition–Elmo PX-10 and Elmo PX-30 https://www.elmousa.com/product-category/document-cameras/. Elmo added higher resolution features and now offer 4k outputs even on their smallest models including the portable Elmo MX-P and:
- lowered the cost per unit
- increased their inventory levels in North America
- added software/tools which allow for collaboration and interactivity
UVIC has standardized on the new models with 20 Elmo PX-10’s scheduled to arrive on campus via National Source AV Inc.’s authorized A/V dealer.
